A real game changer in our lives can be intentionally sharing our lives with other people. The truth is that God created us to be relational beings. We were made to do life with other people. If we were honest with ourselves, many of us would have to say that being around people is something that we don’t always intentionally schedule into our lives. We already have to spend time with people at work, at the grocery store, at restaurants and other places … so down time actually becomes down time from people too. But how many of those people really know us? How many of them really know our hurts and struggles? How many of them are we pouring our lives into? Are we setting aside time in our schedules to intentionally spend time with people in order to make a difference in their lives and possible allow them to make a difference in ours? One thing about people is they all come with baggage. We all have some things in our lives that aren’t perfect. Our pasts are sometimes better left there. We have hurts and hang-ups, brokenness and sometimes bitterness. Because of all of this, we must realize that it’s messy to spend time with people. We all have our own quirks and issues that we’re working through, because none of us are perfect.
In this sermon, we’ll explore the life of Joseph and discover some life changing truths that can help us choose to invest our lives in those around us!
